If you would like to be spotlighted, or have someone else you think should be spotlighted feel free to e-mail us at [email protected]
Today’s Jumper Spotlight is, Dylan Plummer, known also as @dylantheplummer on Instagram.
Dylan Plummer started jumping 12 years ago in the 1st grade. Initially Dylan began jumping for the Cincinnati Ropin’ Rockets, however, 4 years ago Dylan began jumping for the Comet Skippers.
Dylan recently created an amazing Google Play app that he programmed himself called the Jump Rope Tricktionary. The sport of competitive jump roping is a continually growing international community of some of the world’s most talented athletes. This app aims to help anyone hoping to become involved in this phenomenal sport by giving anyone with a phone the power to learn all levels and types of jump rope skills.
The Tricktionary is organized by type (Basics, Multiples, Power, Rope Manipulation, and Releases) and by level (1-4). It provides a description, a video, prerequisites, and what to learn next for each trick.
Also included in the app is the Show Writer. This enables coaches and jumpers to quickly write jump rope shows in which each athlete has the maximum amount of break time between each of their routines.
If you would like to learn more about Dylan Plummer you can listen to him this Monday on the Jump Rope Jam Podcast, or look for his future videos here and on all of his social media.
